Sometimes they can be big!!
Well I have little excuse for the long space between posts and it wont happen like this again. To start I will say the winter season was awesome for the best winter i have ever had. Thanks to all who floated and fished will myself and Caleb. We hope to make next year better for the winter and spring with AWA’s purchase of a jet boat we will be expanding our river reach and will be able to have more available days on the water. So if you missed out this year we will be ready for you, Just lets us know.

getting the job done in tough conditions at times, stay focused through the entire day.

Wet days can be the best days!

New patterns for MFC next year, all need to be field tested.

Trout fishing is getting better by the day and dry fly action is not far away.
Trout season is just starting to get going and if you have not booked you salmon fly dates you had better soon er then later. We have had some good days on the water trout fishing already this spring. The river is a bit high and a little cool but the trout seem eager and those willing to get out have been finding reward. lots of the big Bugs seems to be under the larger stones in the shallows of the river, spells for few bugs to be out in the next good set of HOT days.

Nothing like trout that fight as good as your equipment!
Now that SOR (Spey-O-Rama) has come and gone, I will have a bit more time to keep up on post and pictures. This year was a wild one in San Fran for sure. The wildest wind i have ever seen there in the 7 trips I have made. Smart casts were key big cast were rare not the norm. I had to smart this year to even qualify as the wind blow out my left side casts and a potential new World Record. It is all done now and a 3rd place is better then nothing.

I really want people outside of the comp to understand the level of skill and sportsmanship this place carries. No where on the planet will you find a better rounded group of casters then there. I see the work that I put in and know these boy are doing as much or more. To all keep it up and my respect to all of my competitors and friends. Also good work to both Big Tommy and Gerard or Randy D as he now goes by, for their achievements this past weekend too.

Spey-O-Rama is a wonderful place for the future of spey casting and histroy of the sport. Look at these wild boys getting ready for a go in the main pond.
