I have never been this busy ever.

I am not joking!! With the birth of my beautiful daughter, Audrey Marie Johnson. Guiding and the Fly Fishing shop and trying to spend time with my family and get in some casting practice for the World Championships next week in Norway. I have been running on fumes (no sleep is an understatement ).

Wild evening Steelhead!

My river time as been very productive and I would like to congratulate all my sports for putting up with my moody ass. It has been fun for this early in the year…. a lot more to come. I would also like to thank those who donated funds to get me to Norway. You all rock it is a wonderful feeling to know that you all believe in me that much. I cant ever say thank you enough!!! Awesome.

Had to take this picture, looked to good.

Now here are some Steelhead picks to wet your whistle…. Enjoy!!!

Carmens first chromer! She will never forget!
The evenings have been awesome!

Dan’s First not a spot of red on this hen.
Kim wont ever want normal sized Steelhead again!

Outlaw strikes again!

This fish ate with the sun on the water??? Oh yeah it did!

Lots of wild fish around!!
So much BACKING out!!
Even a few hatchery fish around, but they are even taking HARD.

Just missed the jump.

Now I want to say a few words. I have not and wont put on a sink tip, or sinking polyleader. All fish were caught on a full floating line so at odd times a day, like 11:45 am. What I am trying to say is that you are hindering your catch rate with tips. Just try the floater out and see what happens. You can catch them on tips yes… but why??? More fish and better takes on the floating line.

Love the spots.

Good things happen when you where your hat right. Or maybe just the right hat.

COFFEE the only thing that is keeping me going right now.
